Company History

Founded in 2004, Progressoplaste Lda started by producing plastic parts for various industries which quickly proved to be of high quality and contributed to the successive growth of the company.

In 2011, the company started focusing in the production of primary plastic packaging for the pharmaceutical industry.

Certification of our Quality Management System according to ISO 9001 standards was achieved in October 2011, and a brand new Clean Room was built and certified to ISO Class 7 in compliance with ISO 14644-1 standards.

In April 2013 we obtained our certification to ISO 15378 standards, operating since then in full compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

In March 2014 we were certified as meeting the requirements of Directive 93/42/EEC, Annex V, for the production of Class I medical devices – measuring spoons and cups. This certification is currently on hold, but we have kept in place all the procedures so we can readily undergo the re-certification audit and resume full compliance to produce Class I medical devices with the CE mark and with measuring function.

These certifications demonstrate our ability to provide high quality primary plastic pharma packaging solutions, consistently meeting customer and regulatory requirements according to all applicable International Standards.

A clear goal to develop business outside Portugal’s borders was set from the beginning and the PlasticProgress brand was created, placing it today at the forefront of the market as a global supplier of primary plastic pharmaceutical packaging solutions to the pharmaceutical industry.

Progressoplaste’s competence, characterized by its up-to-date technology and operating procedures, and by the continuous improvement of our human assets, is confirmed by the trust our customers are placing with us, and by the SGS certification body, with the continued renewal of our various quality certifications.

Challenging for a position in the global market, we have set ourselves the goal of providing a service of excellence in the supply of snap-on plastic bottles for spray pumps, eye-droppers, solid oral formulation primary plastic container bottles, Class I medical devices such as cups and spoons, and other tailor-made primary plastic pharmaceutical packaging solutions.
